Disney Pixar has done it again. An animated science fiction film written by Julia Cho and directed by Madeline Sharafian, Domee Shi, and Adrian Molina. Prepare to be taken on an adventure that’s out of this world. By todays time, where the world is ever engaging in digital technology and curiosity of alien life form. We are constantly asking the question, is there life in the outer world? I believe we heavily intrigued with that notion and why we continue to send men out of space. Hoping to stumble across that figure of alien life form, and answer humanity’s oldest question: Are we truly alone?

Well, Elio (played by Yonas Kibreab) has this great fascination for life beyond earth. He feels alone since his mom and dad are gone. He doesn’t believe that his aunt (played by Zoe Saldana) wants him, so he goes on a quest to find love elsewhere. He makes it his mission to be abducted by aliens. Due to circumstances with a mishap at his aunt’s job, Elio gets his wish, What ensues are many moral life lessons about friendships’, loyalty, humor, truth, lies and parenting. Most importantly a dare to dream and a dare to love.

There are two great songs that embodied this movie. One track titled “Such Great Heights” by The Postal Service and the other track “Don’t Stop Me Now” by Queen. Each one gives the exact meaning of the film and helps to identify the characters main role. The cinematography was absolutely effective. Giving the outer space a more unique look with it’s visual effects. The strobing lights had the audience memorized. It was no typical alien design.

The film was enjoyable to watch. It does go a little dark that maybe a but harsh for little children but for the most part I rate this a (3/4) 🍟 for the whole family to see . In theaters June 20th…
