Tom Cruise Mission Impossible 8: The Final Reckoning review…

Director Christopher McQuarrie and actor Tom Cruise: red carpet premiere

The eighth film of Mission Impossible directed by Christopher McQuarrie is finally here. Ethan Hunt (played by Tom Cruise) is back with his old crew and some new ones. This action spy film seemed to be a continuation from the previous ones plus adding closure to the 7th film installment. Tom does not sell us short with the stunts provided in this movie. Without giving too much away, if I had to choose which stunt was the best between the airplane versus the ocean scene, I chose the ocean. IEven though he is looking a little older, f you had any doubt if Cruise could still his role as Ethan, I believe he proved his point that he can.

So what’s the mission this time. Well, Ethan and Grace (played by Hayley Atwell) ore chasing Gabriel (played by Esai Morales) from the last film. Ethan is looking for revenge but there is an artificial intelligence called the Entity that is set to destroy mankind if it not shutdown in time. The agent team called along with some new faces to help track down the module used to keep the nuclear missiles from being launched. Even the US President Erika Sloane (played by Angela Bassett) has to male a tough decision if Ethan doesn’t make in time, to send off missiles that could kill millions in order to save the world.

Will Ethan be able to complete the mission and retire? Will this be the last of Mission Impossible. There’s seems to be a new crew that the baton is being passed on to. Well have to wait and see. As always look forward to hearing the theme song that has been played for so many years, let’s you knw it’s a Mission Impossible and the tape will self destruct in 5 seconds.

We give this film a (3/4) 🍿 must see since it’s the last one. In theaters on May 23rd…
