You’re Are Cordially starring Will Ferrel and Reese Witherspoon is a comedy hit. The story of two weddings are accidentally booked on the same day at the same venue, each bridal party is challenged with preserving their family’s special moment while making the most of the unanticipated tight quarters. In a hilarious battle of determination and grit, the father of the bride (Will Ferrell) and sister of the other bride (Reese Witherspoon) chaotically go head-to-head as they stop at nothing to uphold an unforgettable celebration for their loved ones.
Reese Witherspoon’s character, Margot, struggles to find her place in her family. Since she and her sister are very close, Margot unintentionally isolates her sister from them, wanting to feel alone herself. Will Ferrell’s character, Jim, is a widowed single father whose daughter is about to leave home. Jim struggles to accept her independence and tries to manipulate her into staying, but his plan backfires, leaving him isolated and alone. Both Margot and Jim are faced with the reality that it is time to grow and except their faults.
The comedy in the movie had me in tears. I have to say my stand out was Leanne Morgan as the aunt to Reese Witherspoon’s character and the alligator. She was amazing in every scene. I truly enjoyed watching You’re Cordially Invited from beginning to end. You’re Cordially Invited is now streaming on Prime Video.
