The Fall Guy SXSW Red Carpet Movie Premiere..

The Fall Guy is directed by David Leitch and written by Drew Pearce based on a 1980’s TV series about stuntmen (to be politically correct and women) This job of being a stunt double looks and feels very dangerous yet exciting to entertain the viewers. Also, it is used to protect the main stars in the film. A movie that helps us recognize what these stunt performers do and go through is pretty fascinating.

. So let’s dive into this movie and give a little insight without giving too much away. We have Colt Seavers (played by Ryan Gosling), a Hollywood stuntman. He finds himself struggling after a major stunt goes wrong ending his career and his relationship with Jody Moreno.

Eighteen months later, he gets a call from the action star Tom Ryder’s film producer. He is told that this film is directed by Jody, his ex-girlfriend. So Colt is back in action not knowing the conspiracy he will have to face. He had to look for Tom, the major movie star while trying to rekindle old love.

Gosling is funny, and energetic and embodies his character as a stuntman.

Jody Moreno (played by Emily Blunt) is a camerawoman who is directing her first film in Sydney, Australia which will have her ex-boyfriend in it. Colt learns that Jody never asked for him and is still angry about their breakup. But as production gets underway, Colt and Jody start having their feelings for each other refueled until Tom is discovered missing. Colt then has to go back to the United States to find Tom and he ends up doing more dangerous stunts than he ever has done in his career to find him. Emily always gives that funny girl power but clever love images in her romantic/comedy roles.

All in all, Ryan Gosling, Emily Blunt, and another cast member Winston Duke, give you a glimpse of what is like to be a stuntman. Even the soundtrack “I Was Made For You” performed by YungBlud, fits right into the meaning of being The Fall Guy.

This movie is a 🍿🍿🍿🍿 must-see and in theaters Friday, May 3…..
