Disneyland Resort Celebrates Hispanic and Latin American Heritage

Disneyland Resort is celebrating Hispanic and Latin American Heritage Month with delicious food, uplifting music, exciting entertainment, and more.

New this year, Isabela and Luisa from Walt Disney Animation Studios’ film “Encanto” will join Mirabel outside of Rancho del Zocalo Restaurante in Frontierland at Disneyland Park. Over at Disney California Adventure Park, guests can watch Miguel bring the everlasting bonds of familia to life with songs and dancing in the newly reimagined musical tribute, “The Storytellers of Plaza de la Familia Celebrate The Musical World of Coco!”

Guests can enjoy delicious Mexican cuisine across the Resort. From the new Stuffed Pan Dulce at Award Wieners to the new Torta Cubana at Rancho del Zocalo Restaurante, guests can experience the flavors of Hispanic and Latin American cultures in exciting ways. In addition to specialty items available throughout the resort, Latina-owned food truck Vchos will offer tasty traditional Salvadoran pupusas near the Downtown Disney LIVE! stage through Oct. 15.

On weekends during this celebration, guests can enjoy live musical performances at the Downtown Disney LIVE! stage, with the lineup featuring DJs, a mariachi quartet, the Pacifico Dance Company, and Son Habana.

Beginning Sept. 3, 2024, for a limited time, guests may encounter Isabela from Walt Disney Animation Studios’ “Encanto” in Frontierland at Disneyland Park in Anaheim, Calif. Isabela is graceful and poised – she has the magical ability to make plants grow and flowers bloom. (Christian Thompson/Disneyland Resort)

Festive décor continues the celebration of Hispanic and Latin American Heritage Month, including the redesigned Emporium window on Main Street U.S.A. in Disneyland Park and the Downtown Disney District mural titled, “Love and Traditions,” which helps celebrate Día de los Muertos in Hispanic and Latin American countries.

This is all in addition to the annual Plaza de la Familia celebration in Disney California Adventure Park, which draws inspiration from Disney and Pixar’s “Coco” and celebrates the spirit of Día de los Muertos, happening now through Nov. 2, 2024
