“Red One” review: In 4dx experience…

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas. With that being said, ‘Red One’ starts the holiday season off with this comedy adventure. This film directed by Jake Kasdan and written by Chris Morgan, attempts to put us the mood for Santa Claus. Yes, another story about the man in the red suit however, this comes with a different. We’ve had the Grinch trying to steal Christmas and Polar Express where a boy finally believes after a one night journey to the North Pole. If you combine the two and throw in some other factors, you will have the theme of this movie. What made this movie enjoyable to watch was doing it in 4DX. It helped with keeping the focus as you experience the twist and turns, The fighting scenes which felt as though someone kicked me in my back. Temperature changing and wind blowing in your face, really was put you right there was extraordinary.

So let’s delve into the story. Callum Drift (played by Dwyane Johnson) an E.L.F. is hired to bodyguard Santa. The Northpole is invaded and Santa is kidnapped on Christmas Eve. An immediate investigation is done and they find that Jack O’Malley (played by Chris Evans) is a hacker and was hired to find the secret location of the North Pole. Jack is forced to work with Callum to find Santa and save Christmas. The two manage to have great chemistry and had several humorous moments.

The film showed new and improved Santa sled which was pretty unique. In the 4dx theater got to experience the reindeers breathe and magical performance. Music in the film was the usual Christmas jingles. Overall this movie leaves you to wonder whether you are naughty or nice. We give this film a (3/4) 🍿
