‘The Bad Guys 2′ Movie Review: Why This Dreamworks’ Animated Heist Sequel is a Must-Watch for Families….

So In the first Bad Guys, the audience is introduced to these animal characters. Getting a good ideal about these criminal and their slick ways. They do appear likable which has parents questioning why their kids are rooting for the bad guys? This comedy film ran its course of funny schemes and plots of doing wrong. However, could these band of crooks ever turn over a new leaf? Could they actually reform?

The opening begins with a blast from the past and how thrilling life was as the villains. It was quickly short lived when brought to reality of present day. Released from prison, the Bad Guys are having a tough time living legit and finding regular jobs. No one wants to hire them because of their reputation and don’t trust that they have change for the good regardless how much pleading they do. Just when it looks like all hope is lost, a break comes for the Bad Guys to prove they have gone straight. A series of high profile thefts by the “Phantom Bandit” has the police commissioner in a panic to catch the thieves and feels the Wolf and friends are behind it.. Mr. Wolf plans a stake out at the Mexican wrestling match to expose the thief and to prove to the commissioner they are the good guys.

However, the stakeout does not go as planned and the team gets framed for crimes committed by the Phantom Bandit. To make matters worse, the Bad Guys are kidnapped by female criminals, Kitty, Pigtail and Susan (whose code name is Doom). Not trying to give too such away, but they blackmail Mr. Wolf in order to steal the experimental Moon X space rocket or video a footage will be exposed. What is on the video. Will the Bad Guys go through with it risking their reputation of going straight?

Famous quote from the ‘The Godfather Part III‘, “every time I try to get out they pull me back in” seems to be the fate of Mr. Wolf and the crew. Or will it? After all like the sound track of the movie says “Goodlife” featured by WiztheMc, the Bad Guys want to have a decent lifestyle.

This Animated/Comedy film is hilarious, action pack and just as good if not better than the first one. Rate this movie a (4/5) 🍿 in theaters August 1st.
